Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspects storm response work in Ha Tinh and Nghe An

On the afternoon of August 25, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspected evacuation points and the vulnerable coastal dyke in Dien Chau commune (Nghe An province).

Accompanying him were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense and members of the Government delegation; Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4; Major General Doan Xuan Buong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 4.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha inspected the evacuation and storm shelter for people at Dien Chau Primary School. There are 62 households with 177 people, mostly elderly people, women and children, taking shelter from the storm. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this is a very strong and dangerous storm, so people should feel secure living at the evacuation site and returning home after the storm has passed. The Party Committee and government will provide enough necessities, food and drinking water for the people.

Here, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Party Committee, the government and the forces to ensure all necessary conditions for the people, especially to take good care of the health of the elderly and the sick. In addition, continue to review vulnerable points with risks of insecurity to evacuate people to shelters with the highest principle of ensuring people's lives first and foremost.

Next, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and his delegation directly inspected the sea dike in Dien Chau commune. The Deputy Prime Minister requested the authorities and forces to be on duty at key points and prepare supplies to have a rescue plan in case of any situation.

* On the morning of August 25, right after the meeting at the Forward Command Center in Military Region 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directly went to Ha Tinh province to inspect the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 5. Accompanying him were representatives of the leadership of Military Region 4, Ha Tinh province and functional agencies.

At the Hoi Thong sea dike (Dan Hai commune, Ha Tinh province), one of the coastal vulnerable points, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the working delegation inspected the actual dike reinforcement work in heavy rain and strong winds. More than 200 officers and soldiers of the Ha Tinh provincial armed forces, along with militia and youth union members, are urgently transporting materials, reinforcing the dike roof, and inserting sandbags to prevent landslides, ensuring safety before the storm makes landfall.
