Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with hundreds of children

On the afternoon of September 14, at Dam Sen Cultural Park, more than 500 children, mainly children from difficult family circumstances, orphaned due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City, celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival early in the 18th Mid-Autumn Festival - 2024, organized by Saigon Tourist Group.

During the afternoon, the children participated in the " World of Cuisine" program, art program and received Mid-Autumn gifts.

This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for each child are worth more than 1 million VND in total, including 1 full-package ticket to Dam Sen Cultural Park, 1 meal voucher worth 200,000 VND, 1 box of moon cakes, 1 lantern and 1 scholarship worth 300,000 VND.

Mr. Nguyen Dong Hoa - Deputy General Director of Saigontourist Group - said that with the wish to give the children the best, the organizers hope that these small gifts will contribute to motivating them to continue to strive to study and practice, towards a better future.

In addition to this activity, the organizers also brought the Mid-Autumn Festival to children in 5 remote and disadvantaged areas, including Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Dak Lak.

The program will also include many fun activities, giving away moon cakes, learning aids and awarding hundreds of scholarships to children of officers, employees and workers working at member units of Saigontourist Group.

The 18th Mid-Autumn Festival is also a social community activity program, part of a series of events celebrating the 49th anniversary of Saigontourist Group.
