
On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, in the morning session, the market only showed red once, most of the remaining trading hours increased, but the increase was not high. By lunchtime, the VN-Index stopped at 1,369.54 points, up 2.77 points.
In the afternoon session, the market initially maintained green, but from nearly 2:30 p.m., strong supply caused the VN-Index to return to the reference level and show red.
Closing the session, VN-Index stopped at 1,366.75 points, down 0.02 points while VN30-Index reached 1,465.36 points, up 2.56 points (0.18%).
Declining stocks dominated with 169 stocks going down and 129 stocks going up. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing and decreasing in price were 15 and 11 respectively.
This session, the pillar stocks group was quite weak. Of the 10 stocks with the largest capitalization, 4 stocks were green but none increased by 1%, 3 stocks remained unchanged, and the rest were red.
Having strongly supported the market in the past two sessions, VIC remained unchanged today, while VHM increased slightly by 0.78%, contributing 0.58 points. GVR performed outstandingly and contributed the most to the VN-Index with 1.1 points.
On the other hand, GAS, the stock with the biggest price decrease (2.32%) among the 10 stocks with large capitalization, took away 0.85 points from the VN-Index; followed by bank stocks MBB, TCB, VPB.
The number of sectors increasing and decreasing in points is similar. In the rising group, hardware performed outstandingly, increasing by 5.26%. On the other hand, energy, household appliances and personal items were the two sectors decreasing by 1%-1.12%.
Liquidity decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND21,600 billion. Notably, foreign investors continued to be net buyers. This group bought more than VND1,874 billion and sold VND1,696 billion.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the close of the session, the total trading value reached 1,900 billion VND. The HNX-Index closed at 227.66 points, down 0.13 points (-0.06%); the HNX30-Index fell 1.42 points (-0.3%), to 468.87 points.
