In particular, agricultural production development is still focused on investment, shifting towards clean, organic agriculture, applying high technology for sustainable development, contributing to increasing income for rural people.

Building a civilized and modern society

In the period of 2020-2025, the production value of the industrial - construction sector of Dau Giay commune achieved a growth rate of over 22%; the trade - service sector increased by 20%; the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector increased by nearly 2%. In 2025, the average income per capita in the commune reached 92.4 million VND/person, an increase of 24 million VND/person compared to 2020.

Trade and service activities in the commune are increasingly developing in quality and quantity, and the scale of operations is increasing. The whole commune has about 2,800 individual businesses, 2 cooperatives, 2 Bach Hoa Xanh stores and 7 markets that meet the shopping needs of the people. In particular, Dau Giay agricultural and food wholesale market operates to meet the needs of exchanging goods, especially agricultural products in and outside the province.

Chairman of Dau Giay Commune People's Committee Mai Van Hien said: In the period of 2025-2030, one of the breakthrough tasks set by Dau Giay Commune is to focus on digital transformation associated with administrative procedure reform; building a modern, transparent, and effectively operating digital government. The focus is on developing the digital economy in production and business; prioritizing the application of digital technology in the agricultural sector and essential services to improve productivity and efficiency in serving the people.

After the merger, Dau Giay commune continues to play the role of a strategic traffic hub of the region, with many expressways and national highways passing through such as: National Highway 1A, National Highway 20, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, creating favorable conditions for connecting with major provinces and cities in the key economic regions of the South, the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast. The favorable geographical location and potential for industrial and service development help the commune attract investment in industrial parks and clusters. In particular, Dau Giay Industrial Park with an area of over 328 hectares, an occupancy rate of over 92% is the driving force for the economic restructuring process. Eastern University of Technology located in the commune is an important higher education institution in training, providing high-quality human resources on the spot, serving the requirements of local socio-economic development.

The goal that Dau Giay commune sets for the period 2025-2030 is that science - technology, innovation and digital transformation continue to be the key driving force of growth. Dau Giay commune has many outstanding favorable conditions in terms of transport infrastructure, urban areas, logistics, and large-scale trade and service development to expand development space and attract strategic investors.

High-tech agricultural development

Although aiming for a civilized and modern urban area, Dau Giay commune still focuses on investing in agricultural development. As a result, in the period of 2020-2025, the average value of harvested products in the commune reached 183.5 million VND/ha/year, an increase of nearly 10.3% compared to the previous term.

The impressive point is that the locality has attracted a number of businesses and farmers to invest in developing high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, etc. Up to now, the total high-tech agricultural production area of the commune has reached over 6 thousand hectares, accounting for about 2.5% of the total agricultural land area in the commune.

Typically, Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) has cooperated with farmers and cooperatives in the commune to implement many organic production models with many agricultural products such as green-skinned grapefruit, durian, mangosteen and pig farming...

Head of the Bau Ham 2 Avocado Cooperative - Quang Trung (Dau Giay Commune) Pham Duy Long said: The local land has a higher proportion of rocks than soil, so it is quite picky about the plants. Previously, farmers mainly chose drought-resistant, easy-to-grow plants or mixed gardens with low economic efficiency. In recent years, along with the construction of new rural areas, this land has been invested in roads, electricity has been brought to the production area, so farmers have boldly switched to growing fruit trees with high economic value such as bananas, avocados, durians, etc. They have also converted to organic production, improving the soil to become more and more fertile to develop truly sustainable production.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuoc, Head of the Loc Thinh Jackfruit Cooperative, with the organic jackfruit and fruit growing model, shared that recently, local farmers have converted many types of crops from cocoa and jackfruit to fruit trees with high economic efficiency. Although converting to many types of crops, the cooperative members still stick to the organic production model. In particular, they take advantage of waste and by-products in agricultural production as organic fertilizers to gradually reduce chemical fertilizers.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuoc added: Members of the cooperative participating in the organic production model according to the process of Que Lam Group are supported by the enterprise with 50% of organic fertilizer; technology and organic production process are transferred. The enterprise commits to support the output of agricultural products, so farmers feel secure to stick with it.
