Thousands of boxes of syrup, bird's nest, cordyceps... found dumped in landfill

Quang Ninh authorities are verifying the origin of thousands of functional food boxes dumped in residential landfills.

Accordingly, on the morning of June 18, residents living near Tuyen Than Street, Hong Ha Ward, Ha Long City discovered thousands of boxes of functional foods scattered around at the residential area's landfill.

The incident was then reported to the authorities by the people.

Immediately afterwards, police and market management forces arrived at the scene to verify and count these functional foods.

According to the staff of the Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province, it is not yet clear whether these functional foods are real or fake. However, through initial inspection, the above goods have all expired.

According to records, these functional food boxes have not been used, mainly syrup, bird's nest water, cordyceps, vitamin supplements...

A resident in the area said the above functional foods were thrown away by two people at around 9:00 p.m. on June 17.

Currently, the authorities are handling the case according to regulations.
