Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi: Documents need to deeply evaluate the results of streamlining the apparatus.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi noted that the congress documents need to analyze and evaluate more deeply the results of implementing major policies of the Central Government, such as streamlining the apparatus and developing science and technology.

On the afternoon of July 29, Working Group No. 1 of the Steering Committee for the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, headed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, worked with the Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies on the preparation and organization of the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

At the meeting, Ms. Le Thi Hong Nga, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies, reported on preparations for the organization of the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party Agencies, term 2025 - 2030.

Working Group No. 1 of the Congress Steering Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee worked with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies on the preparation and organization of the Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Accordingly, the Party Standing Committee has led the establishment of Congress subcommittees including: Personnel subcommittee; Documents subcommittee; Organization and Service subcommittee of the Congress and established the Editorial Team of the Congress Documents subcommittee and the Support Team of the Organization and Service subcommittee of the Congress. The subcommittees have held meetings, contributed opinions and urgently deployed the organization and implementation of the Congress preparation work of each subcommittee.

The Congress of Party Committees of Party agencies is scheduled to hold a preparatory session on August 19 and an official session on August 20 at the Ho Chi Minh City Command Hall with about 350 delegates (including 289 delegates attending the Congress and 61 invited delegates).

Improve document quality

In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, praised the sense of responsibility and proactiveness of the Party Committee Standing Committee, staff of advisory and support agencies, and socio- political organizations in preparing for the Congress.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi suggested that the Party Committee Standing Committee continue to update and study new directive documents to concretize them into directive content for subordinate Party grassroots organizations, in accordance with the practical activities of the Party Committee.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee assessed that the content of the document had been carefully and thoroughly prepared, closely following the functions, tasks and powers of the Party Committee according to Party regulations and the practical situation before and after the merger and consolidation.

The Party Committee Standing Committee needs to continue reviewing and completing the draft document to submit to the Congress; prepare suggested discussion content to guide delegates to continue promoting their intelligence to contribute to the documents at the Congress more deeply .

In particular, the Standing Deputy Secretary suggested that the Party Committee Standing Committee should continue to analyze and evaluate more deeply the results of implementing major policies and orientations of the Central Committee and the City Party Committee, especially thematic policies and resolutions that have had a profound and direct impact on the subordinate Party organizations in the 2020-2025 term, from the establishment of the Party Committee to the present. Specifically, such as: continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively, efficiently and effectively; on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation...

"The Party Committee Standing Committee needs to consider and study to supplement the content of the guiding viewpoints expressing the vision, leadership orientation, and consistent direction of the Party Committee during the 2025-2030 term on the basis of studying and creatively applying the guiding viewpoints of the draft documents of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and the Central Committee's strategic resolutions in accordance with the requirements of leadership in implementing the Party Committee's political tasks and Party building work in the new revolutionary period in conjunction with implementing the set general goals," said Mr. Nghi.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi suggested continuing to monitor and urge the grassroots Party organizations to submit their comments; on that basis, the Document Subcommittee will continue to research, absorb, supplement, complete, and advise on submission to the Congress. The Party Committee Standing Committee will urgently complete documents related to the Congress and send them to the working group members for comments before August 10. The working group will assign members to be directly responsible for reviewing comments and discussing specific documents with the Party Committee Standing Committee.
