Mr. Le Kien Thanh re-elected Chairman of Vietnam Golf Association

On August 14, in Hanoi, the National Congress of the Vietnam Golf Association, term V (2025-2030) was solemnly and successfully held.

The Congress elected 53 members of the Executive Committee, including Mr. Le Kien Thanh re-elected as President of the Vietnam Golf Association for the 2025-2030 term. The positions of Vice President, General Secretary, Head of the Inspection Committee and members of the Standing Committee were also filled with a high confidence rate.

The congress gathered more than 100 delegates, including 73 official delegates who are members of the Association - representing local golf associations, organizations and units operating in the golf field - and more than 20 guest delegates who are individuals who have made many contributions to the development of Vietnamese golf.

The event took place on August 13 and 14. The new Executive Committee consists of 53 outstanding individuals, representing organizations, units, localities and golf communities across the country, with high qualifications, enthusiasm and responsibility, ready to lead the Association into a new stage of development.

At the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the 5th term, Mr. Le Kien Thanh, Chairman of the 4th term, received absolute trust to continue to hold the position of Chairman. Mr. Vu Nguyen, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the 4th term, was also elected to continue to hold the position of General Secretary, affirming his important role in the management and development of the Association.

This congress not only ensures succession and stability in leadership personnel, but also demonstrates the determination to innovate, bringing Vietnamese golf to develop strongly, professionally and deeply integrate with the international community.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Golf Association Le Kien Thanh emphasized: “We are committed to continuing to build the Vietnam Golf Association into a professional, transparent, and democratic organization; strongly promoting the development of the youth golf movement; improving the quality of training for coaches and referees; and gradually making golf a popular sport , close to the community”.

With 53 Executive Committee members and an experienced leadership team, the V term (2025–2030) of the Vietnam Golf Association promises to be a breakthrough period, contributing to raising the position of Vietnamese golf on the regional and world sports map.
