Donald Trump will still attend the Republican National Convention early next week.

Donald Trump's campaign and the Republican National Committee announced that the former US President will continue to head to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The announcement stated that former President Trump is heading to the convention in Milwaukee to officially be selected as the Republican Party's candidate for President of the United States. The campaign also confirmed that the former President is fine.

The Republican National Convention will take place from July 15 to 18, attracting nearly 2,400 delegates, and will select the presidential candidate and his future vice presidential running mate.

Regarding the shooting, sources said that the shooting of former President Donald Trump is being investigated as an assassination. The perpetrator was shot dead by the US Secret Service, in addition, one person attending the event was also killed and two others were seriously injured.

Security forces found an AR submachine gun at the scene. The US Secret Service said multiple shots were fired from above at the stage where Mr. Trump was campaigning.
