This is the first time a set of financial textbooks for 12 grades of high school students has been compiled and published.
On August 18, Vietnam Education Publishing House in collaboration with Tan Viet Book Company - Tan Viet Bookstore organized a program to introduce the book series "Financial Education".
The Financial Education book series compiled by MSc. Le Thi Thuy Sen, for the first time, builds a comprehensive school financial knowledge system, suitable for the 2018 General Education Program, combining financial and banking theory with cultural values, ethics, and life skills.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen was once known as the author of the book "Be smart with money - Avoid worries" - the most prominent personal financial skills education publication in Vietnam.

Speaking at the Program, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director emphasized: "The Financial Education book series is not only a published product, but also the passion and belief of the Vietnam Education Publishing House to the young generation of Vietnam". He hopes that the simple financial lessons will help children gradually form a solid financial mindset, know how to manage money intelligently, humanely and responsibly. The book series will be useful learning materials, valuable luggage, and close companions of children on the road to adulthood.
“Financial Education” is a book series for students from grades 1 to 12, modern design, printed in four colors, size 19x26.5cm. The book series will be published in 2025 with a selling price of 20,000 - 28,000/book. This is the first time there is a financial education book series from grades 1 to 12.
The book series consists of 3 parts, scientifically arranged, valuable in terms of knowledge, ensuring interdisciplinary and pedagogical aspects to be suitable for both teaching and learning at all levels with the criteria of easy to remember - easy to understand - easy to absorb - easy to apply and interesting.
Accordingly, books from grades 1-5 help students understand money correctly - forming initial awareness of the value of money, spending wisely, knowing how to save, loving work and sharing.
Books from grades 6-9 contain content on financial thinking - common learning - clever use, helping to equip basic knowledge of customs and practices related to money, digital money, careers and income in the context of technology; basic understanding of saving - spending - payment and investment.
Books for grades 10-12, Financial Intelligence - Future Independence, help students understand more deeply about economics such as economic factors and the relationship between economic factors (exchange rates, credit, interest rates, etc.), investment environment, personal financial management, etc.
The book series “Financial Education” is designed with a comprehensive system of knowledge about economics and finance combined with a humanistic educational approach. To make the book close and accessible to students, the author uses many folk songs, proverbs, idioms, short stories, everyday stories, old stories, national traditions and familiar cultural symbols to bridge financial knowledge closer to students.
The contents are designed to integrate financial and banking knowledge with moral education, life skills, and civic education. Therefore, the book series meets the requirements of being easy to read - easy to learn - easy to understand - easy to apply and is a necessary learning material for schools to choose to use for teaching the second session to students.

Sharing at the launching ceremony, author Le Thi Thuy Sen said: “ Financial education is not only about imparting dry knowledge about money, saving or investing, but also a journey to sow seeds of humanity - nurturing habits, behaviors and creating good financial virtues. Therefore, the greatest wish and reward for the author and the team of consultants and associates is that the Book Series is widely spread to students to contribute to bringing good things about financial knowledge to the community and society”.
"This book does not teach how to get rich, but helps children understand finance and know how to manage their finances to have a better life," author Thuy Sen shared.
Commenting on the book, Professor Dr. Hoang Van Cuong - Member of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee, Vice Chairman of the State Council of Professors said: " Money is something familiar to everyone (from children to the elderly), but not everyone understands money correctly, many people make mistakes because of money.
Financial education helps students gain basic knowledge about money, know how to use money appropriately, see the monetary policy management mechanism of the State Bank and understand financial relationships related to money use to consider and make appropriate choices when deciding to participate.
