Ho Chi Minh City: A first-year female student at Hoa Sen University was forced to drop out of school because she argued and slapped a friend during class.

A representative of Hoa Sen University said the incident happened on the afternoon of November 28, during a General Law class. The 26-year-old female student, a first-year Fashion Design student, argued loudly and slapped a classmate. After that, the student also demanded that the lecturer be kicked out.

This morning, the school held a meeting with the lecturer of the General Law course, the female student, her parents and the student who was beaten. The representative of the University Training Department determined that the female student violated the school's regulations because of her inappropriate behavior. The female student was expelled from school - the highest form of discipline at Hoa Sen University. The student's parents also agreed.

The school did not give the cause of the incident.
