Raising the standard level of preferential allowance for meritorious people from 1,624,000 VND to 2,055,000 VND

The Government issued Decree No. 55/2023/ND-CP dated July 21, 2023 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 75/2021/ND-CP dated July 24, 2021 of the Government stipulating the levels of allowances, subsidies and preferential regimes for people with revolutionary contributions.

Decree No. 55/2023/ND-CP amends the standard level of preferential allowances for people with revolutionary contributions. Accordingly, the standard level of preferential allowances for people with revolutionary contributions increases from VND 1,624,000 to VND 2,055,000.

The Decree clearly states that the above-mentioned standard levels are the basis for calculating the levels of allowances, subsidies and preferential regimes for people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives. The levels prescribed according to the standard levels in this Decree are adjusted when the standard levels are adjusted and rounded to the nearest thousand dong.

Amending regulations on assessment and classification of quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees

The Government issued Decree No. 48/2023/ND-CP dated July 17, 2023 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 90/2020/ND-CP dated August 13, 2020 on assessment and classification of the quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees.

In particular, Decree No. 48/2023/ND-CP stipulates that the proportion of cadres, civil servants and public employees classified as "Excellently completing tasks" out of the total number of cadres, civil servants and public employees at the same agency, organization or unit and for each group of subjects with similar tasks must not exceed the proportion of Party members classified as "Excellently completing tasks" according to Party regulations.

According to the Resolution, the goal by 2025 is to improve the quality and efficiency of agricultural cooperatives (ACPs) in the direction of sustainable development; apply science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; prioritize the development of ACPs associated with the development of green economy, circular economy, knowledge economy; expand the scale, attract farmers, producers and agricultural businesses to participate, making ACPs an important socio-economic model in rural areas; contribute to improving productivity, quality and added value; increase income for farmers; protect the environment, adapt to climate change; create conditions and motivation to attract investment, promote restructuring of the agricultural sector and build new rural areas.

Approval of the National Petroleum and Gas Reserve and Supply Infrastructure Planning

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated July 18, 2023 approving the National Petroleum and Gas Reserve and Supply Infrastructure Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

The general objective of the planning is to develop a national petroleum and gas reserve and supply infrastructure system, including strategic reserves (national reserves); production reserves, commercial reserves, transportation, circulation and distribution, meeting economic, technical and environmental criteria, ensuring adequate, safe and continuous reserves and supply for socio-economic development, security and national defense. Ensuring the storage capacity of crude oil and petroleum products nationwide reaches 75 - 80 days of net imports, striving to reach 90 days of net imports; ensuring the storage capacity of gas to meet domestic market demand and raw gas for the energy and industrial sectors.
