According to the report, in order to improve the lives of ethnic minorities, Lang Son province has identified the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period; the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, and the New Rural Development Program for the 2021-2025 period as key tasks.

For example, Hop Thinh Cooperative (Cao Loc District), established by Ms. Ly Bich Linh in 2006, has now become one of the leading cooperatives in Lang Son province with a chain linkage model of a pig farming project worth nearly 43.5 billion VND. Annual revenue reaches 25 billion VND, ensuring stable income for workers at an average of 5 million VND/month...
Realizing that many households in the village are engaged in the business of growing seedlings, but with small areas, without stable outputs or proper technical processes, Ms. Hoang Thi Hong (Van Mieu village, Minh Son commune, Huu Lung district) mobilized women in the village to join a production linkage cooperative, with her as the group leader. Up to now, the seedling cooperative has grown and sold more than 4 million forestry seedlings to the market, earning more than 1.2 billion VND and creating regular jobs for nearly 20 women members.
Ms. Vi Thi Tuyet, a member of the cooperative group for seedling cultivation, said: “My family is a near-poor household. When I joined the cooperative group, I was guaranteed an outlet for my products and given technical guidance, which gave me an income of about 100 million VND/year. My family has gradually risen out of poverty and stabilized their lives.”

As a result, the cooperative's revenue has also increased rapidly. In 2021, the cooperative's revenue was only about 400 million VND, but by 2024 it had reached about 2 billion VND. As a result, many people have escaped poverty sustainably and become rich in Lang Son.
