Many new types of moon cakes launched in Hai Duong

Due to the increase in the prices of some raw materials, the price of moon cakes increased slightly compared to last year.

According to Huu Binh Company Limited ( Hai Duong City), this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, for the first time the company launched fresh green bean cakes (also known as soft green bean cakes). This type of cake is made with main ingredients of green beans, sugar and cooking oil, priced at 230,000 VND/piece (600g).

In addition, some products such as carp-shaped cakes have been improved in design to be suitable as gifts. In recent years, this company has used paper bags, limiting the use of plastic, contributing to environmental protection.

This year, Huu Binh Company produced more than 30,000 cakes, an increase of 5% compared to last year. Due to the increase in the price of some raw materials, the price of moon cakes has been adjusted up slightly, about 3%. Baked cakes and sticky rice cakes are sold at prices ranging from 27,000 to 248,000 VND/piece (weight from 70-650g).

According to a representative of Kinh Do Bakery in Hai Duong, this year, Kinh Do plans to supply the Hai Duong market with about 240,000 moon cakes, equivalent to last year's Mid-Autumn Festival. The selling price of many types of cakes increased by nearly 3%. Kinh Do also launched a number of new product lines in the high-end cake line: Hoang Kim Vinh Hoa, Hoang Kim Vinh Hien, Hong Ngoc An Thinh and Hong Ngoc An Phu with prices ranging from 790,000 to 1.3 million VND/box of 4 cakes. The modern moon cake line has a number of new products such as lava egg and Thu Doan Vien from 285,000 to 480,000 VND/box (from 3 to 6 cakes); the individual cake line is sold from 45,000 to 410,000 VND/piece (weight from 120 to 800g).
