Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (40 years old) and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez (31 years old) have officially announced their engagement after 8 years together. This information was announced through an Instagram post by Georgina, in which the "huge" diamond ring she received, immediately made it the center of media attention.

Although the couple have not revealed details about the ring, jewelry experts around the world have been quick to make predictions about its value and parameters.

People newspaper quoted Mr. Tobias Kormind, CEO of 77 Diamonds in London, believing that the oval-shaped main diamond on Georgina's ring could weigh up to 35 carats (about 7 grams).

He also said that there are two oval diamonds on either side, each about a carat, bringing the total weight of the ring to 37 carats. Given its size and sophistication, Mr. Kormind estimated that its value could be up to $5 million (about 130 billion VND).

Meanwhile, Laura Taylor - engagement ring specialist at Lorel Diamonds - described the ring as "extraordinary". She estimated the oval-shaped main diamond to weigh between 15 and 20 carats.

“The oval cut is known for maximizing the sparkle and bringing the stone to life from every angle,” explains Taylor. She also predicts that the secondary stones make the main diamond appear larger, and the whole thing is set in a platinum setting to ensure durability and enhance the beauty of the diamond.

According to her, if the diamond is natural and of superior quality, its value could easily surpass the $2 million mark.

Many other experts agree with this sky-high valuation, with figures ranging from $2 million to $5 million. Mr. Ajay Anand - CEO of Rare Carat - also said that the diamond could be "D water" quality (the highest grade) and weigh more than 30 carats, pushing its value to more than $5 million.

Ronaldo and Georgina started dating in 2017. The couple are currently raising five children together: son Cristiano Jr (15 years old), twins Eva Maria and Mateo (8 years old) and two daughters Alana (7 years old) and Bella (3 years old).
