Vietnamese Traditions was composed by musician Ai Nhan (another stage name of singer - lecturer Dao Nguyen Vu) and based on Chi Anh's poem, imbued with national pride. The arrangement was performed by musician Anh Tu (TULIC) with a combination of epic rock and traditional instruments such as the zither, flute, two-stringed fiddle, and drum, creating a fusion between modern and classical.
The MV attracted attention when it reviewed many historical milestones and famous places associated with resounding victories such as: Chi Lang Pass, Bach Dang River...
In particular, Duong Minh Quy also boldly included an excerpt from Tran Hung Dao's Proclamation to Soldiers into the song, performed with a strong baritone opera voice, conveying the heroic spirit of the nation.
At the launch of the MV Vietnamese Traditions by singer Duong Minh Quy, People's Artist Quoc Hung - Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music - shared frankly about the work as well as the performance of his student.
“The song Vietnamese Tradition is a difficult piece because it is based on folk and chamber music material. The singer who performs this song must have a very strong inner strength to be able to portray the piece. In particular, the song also has poetic lyrics that are like proclamations, requiring the singer to have endurance and inner strength to convey the right spirit,” said People’s Artist Quoc Hung.

People's Artist Quoc Hung also revealed that the song "Vietnamese Tradition" was composed by musician Dao Nguyen Vu (Minh Quy's teacher) and was cherished for 8 years. Initially, he proposed recording it with the choir of the Conservatory of Music to maximize the value of the instrumental music, but musician Dao Nguyen Vu decided to dedicate this work to his student in his first MV.
People's Artist Quoc Hung also expressed his appreciation for Duong Minh Quy's approach to the topic. "I appreciate that Minh Quy keeps up with current trends, releasing music products with messages of patriotism and national pride. This is also what many young people are doing today. Works that have stood the test of time have been created and sung again with great emotion such as: Len ngan, Me yeu con ...
As a teacher at the Vietnam National Conservatory of Music, I really admire young people, they dare to do and dare to take responsibility," he said.
Sharing about choosing to release the MV close to the occasion of National Day September 2, Duong Minh Quy said: “As a young person, growing up in Vinh Phuc , the homeland of many national heroes, I always aspire to create a music product to pay tribute to those who came before, while reminding my generation of the responsibility to preserve and promote traditions.
On the occasion of the great celebration towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, I think it is time for me to be mature enough to make a MV product with many messages and meanings to join the flow of national pride".

Accompanying the entire MV production process, singer Dao Nguyen Vu (left) said he was moved to see his student Duong Minh Quy growing more and more mature and confident in his singing career (Photo: Organizer).
