(NLDO) - Schools will allow students to take a day off during the days of practice, preliminary rehearsal, and general rehearsal of the A80 Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just sent a notice to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of wards and communes; heads of units and educational institutions under the Department about coordinating to ensure security, safety, and smooth traffic in the city during the rehearsal, preliminary rehearsal, and final rehearsal of the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2 (A80).

According to the plan, the first general practice will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 21; the second general practice will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 24; the preliminary rehearsal of the Anniversary Ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 27; and the final rehearsal of the Anniversary Ceremony will take place at 6:30 a.m. on August 30 at Ba Dinh Square and central streets along the parade route.

Accordingly, schools and educational institutions in wards (formerly in the districts of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, Cau Giay, Tay Ho, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Long Bien, Ha Dong) will allow students to take a day off on the days of joint training (August 21 and 24), preliminary rehearsal (August 27), and general rehearsal of the parade (August 30) and notify parents to coordinate management.

During these days, teachers still go to school to prepare conditions for the new school year.

Schools and educational institutions in other wards and communes, based on actual conditions, the school principal shall consider and decide on allowing students to take time off from school during the time of joint training, preliminary rehearsal, general rehearsal of the Anniversary Ceremony, military parade, and march.

Schools in areas where parades and processions pass through are open for people and tourists to stop, rest, and use personal hygiene, ensuring respect and hospitality.
