Hanoi Sports Delegation won the first prize overall

VHO - On the afternoon of August 20, at Quang Ngai Provincial Stadium, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 National Relay Athletics Championship held the final round and awarded prizes. This is the first time the tournament has been held in Quang Ngai.

This year's tournament brings together many outstanding athletes from 21 delegations, competing in 20 events, divided into 2 groups, including the championship group and the U23 group, with relay events for men, women and mixed.

Athletes from 21 provinces and cities across the country competed in 11 relay events in the final round. The Organizing Committee organized separate competitions for the relay athletics championship groups for young athletes under 23 with 9 events for men, women and mixed men and women.

The competing teams are well prepared, aiming to compete, bringing the best results with a noble sportsmanship spirit.

Athlete Ngan Ngoc Nghia, People's Police Sports Delegation shared: "Participating in this tournament, with the spirit of achieving the best parameters and bringing many medals to the People's Police Sports Delegation. Coming to Quang Ngai , I feel the pleasant weather and the standard field for athletes of the competing delegations to achieve the best results."

The 2025 National Relay Athletics Championship is one of the important tournaments of Vietnamese sports. This is an opportunity for athletes to exchange and practice competition skills. Promote the development of the physical training and sports movement in localities.

Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee will comprehensively evaluate the training and education of athletes at the units. Select outstanding athletes for the national team to participate in international tournaments.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, General Secretary of the Vietnam Athletics Federation said: “Many records have been broken, the 200m record of the People's Public Security team, especially the 800m record of the Ninh Binh team was broken very deeply, nearly 8 seconds. This is a very good signal when Vietnamese athletics is preparing to reach the peak at the 33rd SEA Games at the end of the year”.

At the end of 3 days of competition at the 2025 National Relay Athletics Championship, the Hanoi sports delegation won the first prize overall. There were 2 new national records set at this tournament.

The Organizing Committee also awarded gold, silver and bronze medals to the athlete teams with excellent performance in each event.
