Teacher, director, actor Nguyen Van Phuc was born in 1937, hometown in Hanoi . He is an excellent teacher, former vice principal of Theater School 2 (now Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema).

He is the author of the book Performing Arts of Theater and Cinema , published by the Writers Association Publishing House.

He has taught many actors and directors who have become famous today such as Cong Ninh, Quyen Linh, Minh Nhi, Dai Nghia, Trung Dan, My Khanh, Duc Thinh, Truong Giang...

His students all loved him - a teacher who was not only good at his job but also loved his students. After his retirement, he was retained at the school and continued teaching.

Director Le Hung Phuong sadly recounted memories of his teacher: "At that time, I was the class monitor of K15 of the acting department. He loved his students very much. Every time he went to class, he taught lively and updated new teaching methods because he had studied abroad in Bulgaria.

He did not force anyone to act right or wrong, nor did he demonstrate on stage but let his students be creative with their characters. People also said he was a good teacher when he created famous students later on.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc has directed dozens of television plays for HTV. Among them is the famous play Quan thanh tra , adapted from a foreign play. The play Duoc con tien kiep , a folk comedy genre that he directed for the school's experimental theater when he was not yet in university, is also very famous.

As an actor, although he is not the main actor and has not participated in many films, Mr. Phuc plays each role well. Even though the wind blows is one of his longest films. The role of a father with a northern accent who loves his wife and is responsible for his children creates sympathy with the audience.
