Product diversity

Looking forward to the national holidays, many young artists have released music products as a way to express their love for the country and national pride. On August 8, singer Hoang Hong Ngoc (currently working at the Army Theater) organized the mini show “Thermal Flower”. Hoang Hong Ngoc has not only been successful in many music awards but is also famous in the field of composition.

In the mini show “The Steel Flower” marking 15 years of singing, with the sense of responsibility of a soldier, she chose to perform songs she wrote about her homeland and country such as “The Party’s Call to the Heart”, “I’m Proud to Be the Future of Vietnam”, “Vietnamese Fire”, “Sen”, “Hello Hanoi of the Future”, “Touching the Sun”… These are all songs that have been performed in many major political events. It is worth mentioning that the mini show also featured many young artists such as the Oplus group, singers Thu Thuy, Hong Duyen, Bich Ngoc, Le Minh Ngoc, Quang Huy, Mai Chi, Mai Trang, bringing a musical space that is both youthful and full of emotions.

Adding to the musical spectrum about the homeland and country, on August 10, young singer Dinh Lan Huong collaborated with Be Singer Arts Center to release the MV “Vut bay len Viet Nam” with touching melodies and images, expressing gratitude to previous generations and awakening the aspirations of the youth. The MV tells a story connecting the past, present and future through the innocent perspective of children. 50 young students of Be Singer Center performed the song with pride and deep gratitude for those who came before.

Interspersed in the MV are footage of veterans visiting the Vietnam Military History Museum, creating emotional moments. The work was composed by musicians Duong Truong Giang and Tram Tran, arranged in a pop and symphony style, bringing a majestic and heroic atmosphere.

Not only stopping at new songs, the trend of renovating revolutionary music by young artists is breathing new life into “red music”, bringing this genre closer to the public. Typically, last April, the Oplus group introduced the project “#VN1945” towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The project remade familiar revolutionary songs such as “Doan Ve Quoc Quan”, “Tieng Bat Tren Soc Bom Bo”, “Tinh Ca”, “Noi Dao Xa”, “Bai Ca Ho Chi Minh”… in a youthful, modern style but still maintaining the same heroic spirit. These new arrangements quickly received a warm welcome on online platforms, attracting a large audience of many generations.

Spread love of country

Love for the homeland and country is being breathed into new melodies by young artists, creating a fresh breath of life for the musical life and touching the hearts of audiences, especially the young. Each musical project is not only a work of art but also a bridge to spread love for the Fatherland, helping today's generation to better understand and appreciate the value of peace.

Musician Duong Truong Giang, author of the song “Vut bay len Viet Nam”, shared: “Patriotism always exists in everyone’s heart and can be expressed in many ways. For artists, it is through lyrics and singing. When writing “Vut bay len Viet Nam”, I wanted to express my deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the country’s independence today. I hope that these lyrics will help young people realize that today’s peace and freedom were exchanged for the blood and bones of many previous generations”.

Sharing the same passion for revolutionary music, singer Quang Minh (Oplus group) said that the project “#VN1945” was carried out with the desire to breathe modernity into red music, to make them familiar, fresh but still full of pride. He shared: “We want music to be the thread connecting generations - from those born during the war, the post-war period to Gen Z today. Red music not only belongs to the past, but is also a symbol of immortal patriotism. No matter what era, anyone who listens to it feels proud and happy.”

Singer Dinh Lan Huong, project manager of “Soaring Up Vietnam”, emphasized that this is not only a musical product but also a vivid lesson about gratitude and national pride for children. “Through the lyrics, the young generation of the country will better understand the historical traditions, the years when our ancestors steadfastly defended the country, sacrificed to gain independence, as well as the persistent journey of building the country today” - singer Dinh Lan Huong expressed.

It can be said that revolutionary music always holds a special place in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people, both as a historical memory and as a source of inspiration to nurture patriotism. Continuing that source, today's young generation of artists not only renew familiar melodies but also create many new works, conveying messages about aspirations to rise up, pride and responsibility for the country. By combining traditional spirit and contemporary breath, they are contributing to bringing revolutionary music closer to the public, so that the proud melodies continue to resonate in the hearts of future generations.
