These days, people from the villages of Trung Duong, Trung Tien, and Trung Doai of Yen Hoa commune are pooling their efforts and money to build a bridge across Lach Lo stream to the sea.
Without anyone telling them, some gave 50,000 VND, some gave 5 million VND, everyone joined hands to build a new bridge to serve people going to sea to fish, exploit seafood, swim, and have fun.

Mr. Dang Trong Bieu in Trung Duong village, Yen Hoa commune - one of the people calling for socialization to build the bridge said: "Up to this point, more than 130 individuals have donated to support the construction of the bridge with a total cost of more than 45 million VND. Not only people in Trung Duong village but also Trung Tien and Trung Doai villages have contributed. Along with that, many individuals have participated in supporting the construction work days".
After nearly a month of construction, the reinforced concrete bridge, 21m long and 1.5m wide, spanning Lach Lo stream is almost completed. The total cost of the bridge construction is about 45 million VND, not including hundreds of working days contributed by local people. This is a dream bridge for people in the area. The bridge has not been completed yet, but many people have intended to buy boats and fishing gear to develop the fishing industry because from now on, the way to the sea will be more convenient.

It is known that this area used to have a temporary bamboo bridge. From this temporary bridge, people went to the sea to participate in fishing. This is also the bridge connecting the two banks of Lach Lo for people to go swimming. However, after 2 years of use, the temporary bridge has degraded, not ensuring safety for people to travel, so Mr. Dang Trong Bieu and some people in Trung Duong village have stood up to support the construction of a new bridge.
Also participating in the bridge construction, Mr. Nguyen Thuyet in Trung Duong village said: “Not only people in the area but also people from neighboring communes come here to swim in the sea. However, the temporary bamboo bridge is degraded and does not ensure safety. Therefore, when launching the social mobilization to build a more solid bridge, everyone highly agreed and participated enthusiastically, especially children far from home.”

Construction began on July 22nd and the new bridge is now nearing completion, ensuring safe travel and better serving the daily needs and sea tourism of local residents and visitors. The bridge connecting the two banks of Lach Lo was built with the money and efforts contributed by the people of Yen Hoa commune, a testament to the spirit of solidarity and community awareness of the people.

Since Thang Duong road was paved, Lach Lo area has attracted many people to come and play and swim. However, due to lack of funds from the local government, the end of the road leading to the sea has not been invested. Two years ago, Mr. Lin - a son far from home, currently living in An Giang province, supported 9 million VND to build a 700m long dirt road leading to the sea. After that, the people contributed to build a temporary bamboo bridge. Currently, the bridge is degraded but the locality does not have funds to arrange the construction. Therefore, we encourage people to mobilize social resources to build a new bridge. The completed bridge will contribute to the socio -economic development and improve the lives of people in Yen Hoa commune and surrounding areas.
