Vietnam National Day: Hanoi stays up all night, millions of people turn to the Great Ceremony

Vietnam National Day September 2, 2025 has a sacred meaning, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country, recalling the heroic historical journey of the nation.

Vietnam National Day September 2 (Independence Day) is a brilliant milestone in the history of the nation. On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In 2025, the National Day event has a special significance, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country. On this occasion, many commemorative activities, including a large-scale parade (A80) were held, creating a sacred and proud atmosphere throughout the country.

People lined both sides of the street, cheering and waving red flags with yellow stars to welcome the parade groups passing by during the preliminary rehearsal on the evening of August 27.

The celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, began at 6:30 a.m. on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ).

The program will be attended by about 30,000 people (not including the forces participating in the parade). Many armed forces, the masses and international delegations will participate, creating a vivid picture of solidarity and friendship.

On the evening of September 2, 34 provinces and cities organized cultural activities, music nights and fireworks displays to celebrate Vietnam's National Day in 2025.

On the evening of August 28, the Prime Minister said that the Politburo had agreed to the policy. give a gift for all people, 100,000 VND per person, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

By the afternoon of August 31, the State Treasury reported that the total amount of money paid reached more than VND 5,687 billion, equivalent to about 53.2% of the planned expenditure (more than VND 10,700 billion). Of which, VND 5,677 billion was paid in cash, about VND 10 billion was transferred through the integrated social security account on VNeID.

According to the Government's resolution, people can receive money through the social security account integrated on VNeID or receive it directly at the payment point arranged by the locality. The implementation is based on the permanent household, the amount is calculated for each person based on national data. The head of the household or authorized person will receive and transfer to the members. For citizens who have not registered for permanent residence, the gift is given directly to each person or authorized person.
