Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision 109/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the Planning of Dien Bien province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The general goal by 2030 is that Dien Bien will become a fairly developed province in the midland and mountainous region of the North.
In particular, developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector of Dien Bien, based on three main pillars: historical and cultural tourism; eco-tourism, exploring natural landscapes; resort tourism, entertainment, health care. By 2030, tourism is expected to contribute over 10% of the province's GRDP. By 2050, Dien Bien will be a national cultural - historical - ecological tourism center aiming for international standards, strongly developing trade services and a stable and solid border area.
The planning also identifies improving service quality, focusing on exploiting historical tourism needs associated with exploiting and promoting the value of the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield National Historical Site, upgrading the Dien Bien Phu victory celebration to become an international festival - event...
