Nam Dinh restricts vehicles passing through Do Quan bridge

Nam Dinh Province Department of Transport said that due to the impact of storm No. 3, hydroelectric plants are releasing flood water, causing the water level of Dao River to rise, the current to flow rapidly, affecting the infrastructure of Do Quan Bridge (Nam Dinh City).

To ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles traveling across the bridge, the Department of Transport announced a plan to adjust traffic organization and limit vehicles traveling on Do Quan bridge from 2:00 p.m. on September 12.

Accordingly, trucks, passenger cars, contract cars, tourist cars with more than 9 seats, including buses, are not allowed to operate.

Trucks, passenger cars, contract cars, tourist cars with more than 9 seats, buses that need to move across Do Quan bridge to the city center can follow DT 490C to QL 21 via Nam Dinh bridge (crossing Dao river) to QL 10 towards Thai Binh province to the QL 10 roundabout and Dong A road, turn right into the city center and vice versa. Or QL 21 to QL 21B via Tan Phong bridge (crossing Dao river) to QL 10 towards Ninh Binh province to the QL 10 roundabout and Dong A road, turn left into the city center and vice versa.

The Department of Transport requested the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province to direct the City Police force and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate with the Department of Transport Inspectorate and related units to regulate and guide traffic flow to avoid congestion.

In addition, the Department of Transport also conducted traffic diversion when Ninh Cuong pontoon bridge was damaged due to floods.

Specifically, vehicles moving from Nghia Hung district to Ninh Cuong town - Truc Ninh district and Hai Hau district follow the direction of DT 490C to DT 488B or DT 487B to National Highway 21 passing Lac Quan bridge (crossing Ninh Co river) to Xuan Truong district, Hai Hau or follow the direction of DT 490C to Thinh Long bridge to Hai Hau district and vice versa.
