The telegram clearly stated: implementing the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 23/CD-TTg dated March 15, 2025 on accelerating measles vaccination, to quickly control the epidemic, prevent widespread spread and outbreak, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors, and organizations in the province, People's Committees of districts and cities to continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 116/CD-TTg dated November 14, 2024 and Official Dispatch No. 592/UBND-VP7 on strengthening measles prevention and control; at the same time, focus on implementing a number of contents.
Specifically, the Director of the Department of Health continues to direct and support districts and cities to accelerate the implementation of the measles vaccination campaign; ending the campaign no later than March 31, 2025. Ensure sufficient measles vaccines, timely distribution to localities to effectively implement the Expanded Immunization Program (not to be left without shortages and delays as in the past).
Direct medical facilities to strictly implement the admission and treatment of patients with measles and suspected measles rash fever, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health .
Coordinate with the Department of Finance to ensure adequate and timely funding for the measles vaccination campaign.
The Chairmen of the People's Committees of Nam Dinh districts and cities continue to urgently direct the assessment of the measles situation in the locality to have a plan to organize a measles vaccination campaign according to the instructions of the health sector, to prevent measles outbreaks in the future.
Resolutely ensure sufficient human resources, funding, materials, equipment, and vaccines to speed up vaccination progress, to be completed by March 2025.
Effectively implement the expanded vaccination program, catch-up vaccination, and catch-up vaccination for subjects who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated. Direct the organization of vaccination forms appropriate to the actual conditions and characteristics of each locality to quickly vaccinate subjects.
Urgently direct communes, wards, towns, relevant departments and offices to coordinate and support the health sector to strengthen screening and management of vaccination subjects to ensure close adherence to the actual situation in the area; not to miss any subjects, especially in areas at risk of outbreaks, with the spirit of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, screening every subject".
Strengthen information, communication, and propaganda to mobilize people to proactively implement measures to prevent and control measles and vaccinate children fully and on schedule according to the instructions of the health sector.
The Director of the Department of Education and Training directs educational institutions to implement measures to prevent and control measles according to the instructions of the health sector; monitor the health of children and students and immediately notify medical facilities when detecting suspected cases of measles for timely isolation and treatment; mobilize parents to take their children for full and timely vaccination.
The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and Nam Dinh Newspaper shall strengthen the dissemination of measures to prevent and control measles; provide regular, complete and accurate information on the epidemic situation; prevent and handle incorrect information about measles.
Request the Department of Health to monitor and urge departments, branches, sectors, unions, districts and cities in implementing this Official Dispatch; promptly report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on problems and difficulties in the implementation process.
