Realizing the role of culture in the era of national growth

Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh has just signed Decision No. 2789/QD-BVHTTDL promulgating the Plan to organize the Ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The celebration aims to look back at the achievements, marks and outstanding results of the entire cultural sector over the past 80 years to gain a deeper, more complete and comprehensive understanding of the important role and position of culture in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, as well as in realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the New Era - the Era of national growth.

At the same time, it creates a broad political movement, encouraging, motivating, and arousing the confidence and pride of teams of cultural workers nationwide to unite, work together, and be more determined and creative in carrying out political tasks to bring the development of culture, information, sports and tourism to new heights.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests that the Anniversary Ceremony be organized solemnly, impressively, and pervasively, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to consolidating and fostering people's trust in the Party and positive and clear changes in the emulation to carry out political and professional tasks of the cultural sector, agencies and units.

The celebration is expected to be held between August 21 and 23, 2025 at the Hanoi Opera House with the participation of about 500 delegates.

Regarding propaganda content, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized the contents of the ideological system, viewpoints and guidelines of President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam on the position and role of culture, information, sports and tourism in the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. In particular, focusing on propaganda to clarify and deepen the arguments on building a Vietnamese culture of "National, scientific and popular" in the Outline of Vietnamese Culture in 1943 to the system of resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party in the renovation period on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country. Thereby, conveying a message of an all-encompassing and consistent nature in the motto of action of the whole industry: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge".

Along with that is the propaganda about the outstanding achievements and results in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people over the past 80 years and after nearly 40 years of implementing the country's renovation policy under the leadership of the Party. Especially the outstanding achievements and marks in the period of 2020 - 2025, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

One of the other important contents that has been focused on is the initial implementation results of building the "National value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new period" in recent years, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of comprehensive human development and building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
