The fire spread to at least four homes, forcing the evacuation of six households, Gresham Fire Chief Scott Lewis said.

Two injured people received first aid at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) identified the plane as a twin-engine Cessna 421C. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said the crash caused a power pole to fall, sparking a fire in a nearby brush area.

The plane broke into pieces when it crashed into a residential area.

Before the crash, the plane did not send out any distress signal or emergency call.

The FAA and the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently investigating the incident.
