According to information from the US mission to the UN, representatives from more than 40 countries attended the event. At this event, officials from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) confirmed that the debris was parts of Iranian Shahed 101, Shahed 131 and Shahed 136 drones found in Ukraine.

“These are not replicas. These are real. These are weapons that Iran transferred (to Russia),” said US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

Iranian officials have made no secret of their ambitions to expand the sale of these attack drones. Now they are in Russian hands and being used against civilians in Europe.”

Iran has repeatedly denied Western accusations that Tehran provided Russia with many UAVs, including some armed aircraft, for use in the conflict in Ukraine.

Previously, DIA also announced fragments that they said were from an Iranian UAV recovered in Ukraine in August this year.
