Golden season of Bac Son

Around late July to early August every year, Bac Son valley (Lang Son province) begins the rice ripening season.

1. Looking down from above, the valley blends the yellow of rice, the green of mountains and forests, the brown of new soil and the light blue of morning mist.

The terraced fields stretching across the valley are covered in brilliant yellow-green, interspersed with traditional stilt houses of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups, and a few harvested fields with dark brown soil waiting to be planted.

2. The peaceful countryside of Bac Son.

One of the favorite panoramic viewing spots for tourists is Na Lay peak, about 600m above sea level. Standing here, visitors can see the entire valley like a vivid natural painting, mixed with many colors.

3. Clouds hover around the mountain top.
