According to Portuguese newspaper SIC Noticias, negotiations with Sporting Lisbon are progressing well. MU is about to reach a comprehensive agreement when this price fully meets the requirements of the partner.

However, the difficulty here is that Gyokeres only wants to play for Arsenal. He has reached a verbal agreement to move to Arsenal and signed a 5-year contract. Moreover, the Swedish striker only wants to play for clubs competing in the Champions League next season, and Man United cannot give him this opportunity.
