Veteran journalist Tahir Kum published shocking content in a latest article, raising big questions about the transparency and fairness in the disciplinary system of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
According to Kum, one-sided comments of encouragement and ridicule towards club presidents and coaches were found in conversations between PFDK President Celal Nuri Demirturk and several board members.
The messages are believed to be from PFDK's internal WhatsApp group, where members expressed a clear bias towards Galatasaray, through symbols, words and images related to the number 1905, the year the club was founded.

Mourinho has repeatedly accused Galatasaray of being favored. |
What is more worrying is that some members have shared videos mocking Fenerbahce, the club currently led by Jose Mourinho, and made hateful statements, such as: “They will pay next year if Mourinho continues to cause trouble.” These are signs that personal feelings have overwhelmed the independent and objective role that a football judiciary should have.
The situation is getting more serious as Fenerbahçe President Ali Koc is said to have concrete evidence, including screenshots of the above-mentioned conversations. Mr. Koc is expected to make an official statement in the coming days and may even request a full investigation or initiate legal action if deemed necessary.
If the allegations are true, this would be a major blow to the reputation of the PFDK and the TFF, and could well force some senior members to resign.
Not only that, it could also cause a wave of fierce protests from clubs and fans, when belief in justice in football, the most fundamental thing to maintain healthy competition, is being seriously questioned.
“We cannot call these private letters. Once you have taken on a mission for the benefit of national football, all statements need to be controlled and separated from personal feelings,” Tahir Kum asserted.
With more than 36 years of experience in journalism, he said this was one of the most serious incidents he had ever witnessed in Turkish football.
The case is still being closely monitored. With Turkish football entering the summer transfer window and facing many post-election changes, the scandal has not only overshadowed professional developments, but also risks leading to a large-scale crisis of confidence within the Turkish football community.
