Journalist with new element

In Philosophical Notes, Lenin wrote: “The important thing is not what has been done. The important thing is what is being formed.” Those few words are enough to show us the need for a scientific attitude in work, in evaluating work, in human responsibility towards life, society, towards the new, towards what is to come...

Nowadays, everyone knows that people need information in many aspects and fields, especially information about political and socio-economic events. A society with an educated population is a society with abundant press information. A modern society with a high level of education and good democracy will inevitably have a large proportion of the country's total budget spent on press information services. Information services are essential because in any country, information is wealth, resources, goods, intelligence, and the authority of the State. Whoever holds the information holds the authority... So journalists have a role and a position, and therefore need to have a scientific attitude in providing information.

The movement of society, the development of countries, the explosion of information are happening vibrantly, richly and complexly. There is even an information “war”: real and fake mixed together. Is the movement in a series of countries a movement of growth or collapse? In such a situation, journalists need to have a voice and the public will evaluate the journalist’s perspective. That is the belief in the truth.

The most valuable and necessary thing for a journalist is to truthfully and eloquently reflect the vivid reality of life, making readers, viewers and listeners see the new, clearly recognize the new and together foster the development of the new. Currently, new factors - more precisely, the propaganda of new factors - is still not given much attention. This is a difficult task, for many reasons: Objectively because of the socio-economic situation; subjectively because journalists are still limited in awareness and knowledge, have little understanding of life and skills.

Journalists need to understand that new elements are different from new, different from typical, and also different from models.

The new factor must be something new that arises from revolutionary practice, from the people's productive labor life. It is a concrete expression of the good nature of the social regime, something unique that can be multiplied to become widespread.

New factors contain many positive elements, often arising in the process of applying laws, implementing policies and guidelines, as well as the process of applying economic management mechanisms. New and current factors must contain innovation, abandoning the old, the cliche, the outdated. The demise of the old and the emergence of the new lead to the progress of society. These are facts that cannot be ignored and encouraged. On the contrary, there may also appear "new things" that have a negative impact on society, which need to be frankly criticized. Understanding this means that we journalists have more responsibility in propagating new factors in the international field. Of course, we must achieve positive results, guide public opinion, and sow in people's hearts faith in the common progress of humanity.

New factors arise, can be affirmed, summarized, acknowledged, even made into policies and can also be multiplied into a typical example. For example, "contracting bidding" - a form of product contracting associated with the division of labor "whoever is good at what job does that job" of Vinh Phu province and then considered a good way to implement the ten-contract. In typical examples, sometimes new factors also appear, which is the dynamism of the typical example. Factors to consider new factors in the economic field are often viewed in three aspects: economic significance - economic benefits - human issues...

Discovering new factors is the responsibility of journalists, a job that requires the sensitivity of journalists. Journalists need to know how to see new factors, the unusual in the ordinary, even see the good in the fragmented or opposite appearance. New factors can be discovered from reporters, readers, journalists, leaders... But regardless of the source, the result depends largely on the courage and talent of the journalist. The new factor may only be a bud, a spark, but journalists need to recognize it. Surely readers still remember, in the 1960s, the press in the northern provinces had the merit of discovering and contributing to the spread of typical factors such as Co Ba Nhat, Gio Dai Phong, Song Duyen Hai; Theeducation sector has the Hoa Binh Socialist Labor Youth School, Bac Ly Secondary School... For example, last year, the discoveries of our press contributed significantly to the formation of policies and guidelines, and the understanding of the requirements and contents of the innovation movement in all fields. Journalists must be close to the grassroots, willing to listen, consider and analyze, and know how to generalize issues and events based on the thinking of society, current events, and sharp economic thinking.

Another issue is how to introduce new factors effectively. Some people say that new factors are often not summarized or confirmed, so what should be the propaganda dosage? Of course, the dosage must depend on the economic and social significance of the new factor. Journalists are not allowed to embellish, exaggerate, or distort the new. The time has passed when people paid too much attention to form, only paying attention to breadth, to large projects. Today, we know how to look at small things, cherish the newly formed things in a progressive direction. Therefore, journalists must talk about the new things in their own way, in order to build healthy public opinion, create conditions for the new things to be born, and fight for the new things to exist and develop.

The scientific attitude in informing about new things and new factors also lies in reaching the goal of making new factors widely spread. To propagate deeply and widely, it is necessary to combine with propaganda agencies and means. The leaders of all levels of the Party and State and those directly in charge of press agencies are the "midwives" for the birth and spread of new things. New factors can only be recognized when the leaders perceive the meaning of the new factor, when propaganda agencies and journalists also have new thinking, are consistent, resolute in supporting and making efforts to propagate it, because of it. For example, the household contract method in Vinh Phu - that is a new factor but it took decades for it to be affirmed! Today, our Party and State are making a great revolution of "Streamlining the apparatus", that is the new factor, what we are doing, scientifically, thoroughly, closely and will certainly be successful to make the country rise stronger!

Diverse and multi-dimensional information, fighting against negativity, proactively discovering and propagating new factors, that is the responsibility of journalists in response to the country's innovation requirements. This requires political courage, professionalism and scientific attitude of journalists.
