The difficult but determined situation of Dieu Vy made the whole group choke up, tears fell when witnessing her story. Vy was an excellent student for many years, and was also a member of the school's Literature Olympic team. She soon nurtured the dream of entering the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in Business Administration.

However, behind that achievement is a family full of hardships. As the new school year approaches, seemingly normal expenses such as books, uniforms, tuition fees... have become a heavy burden for the family. Vy's father, Mr. Nguyen Cong Chanh (47 years old), has end-stage renal failure and must undergo dialysis 2-3 times a week. Vy's younger sister, Nguyen Minh Khue (9 years old), has congenital cerebral palsy and has undergone two bone marrow transplants and physical therapy without positive results, forcing the family to take her home to care for her.

All the costs of medicine, living expenses, hospital fees… are placed on the shoulders of the hard-working mother Nguyen Thi Thanh (43 years old), a former teacher with 19 years of teaching experience at Nghia Trung Primary School. Due to her difficult circumstances, she had to give up her teaching career to earn a living by doing seasonal jobs, with a meager income that was just enough to get by.

“Without timely support, Vy’s educational path would have stopped, and with that, a dream would have died out,” that message was once again deeply spread by the program’s Organizing Committee, after a journey of surveying, mobilizing with responsibility and love.

At the scholarship award ceremony, Nguyen Dieu Vy received a total of 146 million VND in cash. Accordingly, the program allocated 16 million VND to support the medical treatment of Vy's father and sister, and 130 million VND was saved for her to cover expenses during her future studies.

Extending the journey of charity, Lieutenant Colonel and writer Pham Van Anh ( Political Department of the Border Guard) has agreed to sponsor Vy with an amount of 500,000 VND/month until the end of grade 12. In particular, when she enters university, this level of support will continue to increase to support her long-term educational journey.

Touched by the love and care, Dieu Vy shared in a choked voice: “I have never felt so loved and trusted. I really don’t know what to say other than my most sincere thanks to all of you, teachers and benefactors. Thanks to this help, I feel like I have been given more strength to continue trying to study well, to become a useful person in the future and help those in situations like my family.”

The Dream Wings Program (episode 121) ended, in Nguyen Dieu Vy's hands were scholarships of love, in her heart was love and in the eyes of the witnesses was the belief that: Where there are dreams, there is hope.

Some touching images at the program Wings of Dreams (episode 121), filled with love from kind hearts, working together for a green seed of knowledge.
