Invitation to attend the online workshop sharing experiences from the UN Tourism Best Villages Network

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has sent a document to the Departments of Tourism, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and cities inviting them to attend the online workshop sharing experiences from the UN Tourism Best Villages Network.

Accordingly, the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) organized the Village Talks webinar with the theme   “Tourism for Nature: Conserving Natural Resources through Sustainable Rural Development”   to share tourism development experiences of outstanding villages around the world belonging to the UN Tourism Best Villages Network.

This is a good opportunity for localities, businesses and the Vietnamese tourism community to learn from international experiences on innovative approaches to nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources through rural tourism.

Vietnam National Administration of Tourism respectfully informs and requests that Departments consider sharing and inviting businesses, communities, and tourist villages in the area to participate according to their needs:

- Content: The workshop emphasized the role of sustainable tourism in conserving natural resources, developing rural economies , preserving cultural identity and raising community awareness, while sharing practical models from typical tourist villages in Italy, Cyprus and Ecuador. The event created opportunities to connect, spread the sustainable tourism development model and encourage application in other local communities.
