Lotus root and red apple tea
In the summer, people can use lotus root to make a beauty dessert called lotus root and red apple dessert. The dessert has a sweet taste, fragrant with ginger, helps to cool down, cool the liver, reduce stress, and enrich the blood.

Wash the red dates and put them in a pot to boil, add rock sugar and ginger slices and cook over low heat. Then add the flower-shaped lotus root slices and red dates and cook for about 15 minutes. The thinner the young lotus root slices are, the faster the cooking time will be.
Braised duck with star fruit and lotus root
Ingredient:
+ ½ duck or 1 duck depending on family needs
+ 5 – 6 star fruit
+ 300gr lotus root
+ Shiitake mushrooms
+ Coconut water
+ Ginger, garlic, lemongrass

Making:
After buying the duck, clean it, remove the odor with salt, wine, ginger, then drain and cut into bite-sized pieces. Next, add the duck with star fruit, soaked shiitake mushrooms, coconut water and lotus root to the pot to cook. Or you can use a pressure cooker to simmer. Once cooked, add some coriander and green onions.

Lotus root pear milk with magnolia flower
Ingredient:
+ 1 fresh lotus root
+ 1 pear
+ Magnolia flower, honey, unsweetened fresh milk
Making:
Wash it, peel it and remove the core, then cut it into small cubes about 1cm. Peel the lotus root, cut it into thin slices to puree it faster. Then, use a blender, add the pear and 150ml of water and blend until smooth. Do the same with the lotus root to make the mixture as smooth as possible.
Next, pour the pear and lotus root juice into a small pot of milk and cook over medium heat. Stir constantly while cooking. Finally, add some magnolia flowers and honey. In the summer, it is better to drink it cold.
