Provincial Labor Federation offers incense and flowers at Gac Ma Soldier Memorial

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the morning of July 25, Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation held an incense offering and flower offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (Cam Lam commune).

At the ceremony, delegates offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs; offered incense at the wind grave of 64 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the battle to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands at the Gac Ma - Co Lin - Len Dao archipelago in 1988, in the Truong Sa special zone; visited the underground museum - where the relics of heroes and martyrs are kept; learned about the Gac Ma incident, the story of the heroic sacrifice of 64 Gac Ma soldiers.

The Gac Ma Soldier Memorial was started by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2015 and completed in 2017, covering an area of over ^25,000m2 , from contributions from union members, workers, businesses, and people at home and abroad. This is one of the red addresses chosen by many agencies, units, and schools as a place to return to the source to educate about sovereignty over seas and islands and love for the homeland and country. Since the beginning of 2025, the memorial has welcomed 416 delegations with 24,881 visitors.
