Thanh Hoa transforms in tourism development
According to a report by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, in 2024, the province recorded 15.3 million visitors, an increase of more than 22% over the previous year. In the first six months of the year, the number of visitors continued to reach 10.5 million, bringing in tourism revenue of about 26,300 billion VND. On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, Thanh Hoa surpassed many big names to rank second nationwide in both the number of visitors and revenue, just behind Ho Chi Minh City.
For many years, Thanh Hoa has always been one of the leading localities in tourism in the North. The completion of key traffic routes such as the North-South Expressway and Tho Xuan Airport has created a convenient inter-regional connection network. At the same time, the investment attraction policy has brought about large-scale projects, gradually upgrading service quality and diversifying tourism products, from beach resorts, eco-tourism to heritage exploration .
Among the province’s beach tourism options, Hai Tien is becoming a new focal point. With a 12km long coastline, this place has a distinct advantage of still retaining a spacious landscape, not yet densely covered with concrete like many long-exploited coastal areas.
This area is oriented to become a coastal tourism axis connecting Sam Son, forming a continuous coastal strip stretching from East to South Thanh Hoa. With the boost from the Mai Son - National Highway 45, shortening the travel time from Hanoi to 2 hours, Hai Tien is accelerating with a series of large-scale projects to turn Hai Tien into a modern, dynamic coastal tourism center, attracting the largest investment capital in the Northern region in the period 2025-2030.
Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien - pioneer in developing night-time economic model
The appearance of Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien is a strategic, pioneering step in bringing the night economy model, the 24/7 party economy to the northern coastal region.

A representative of Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien said that in June alone, Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien attracted 10,000 visitors, demonstrating the appeal of the new model. Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien is expected to reach 70,000 visitors in 2025, becoming the leading entertainment and sea tourism center in the Northern region.
Addressing the inherent weakness of seasonality in Northern coastal tourism, Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien was developed with a 4-season operating model, aiming to attract visitors all year round. The urban area establishes a dual exploitation cycle: the period from April to October focuses on vibrant coastal tourism activities such as EDM music festivals and walking streets, while the period from November to March next year will be activated by winter amenities such as 5-star Japanese-standard hot springs, health care complexes and carnival festivals.

This model shifts from traditional beach tourism to a trend of leisure beach tourism, where experiences are prioritized to prolong the length of stay and boost tourist spending. For investors, creating a nearly uninterrupted service exploitation cycle is the foundation for optimizing cash flow.
Redefining the style of Northern coastal tourism
According to Klook’s Travel Pulse 2024 survey (conducted on GWI with over 7,000 respondents across 14 Asia-Pacific markets, including Vietnam), Gen Y and Gen Z are driving travel trends in the region, with many willing to spend more than double their average monthly income (around $1,069) on their next vacation. They are no longer looking for simple trips, but rather crave vibrant, unique, and emotional experiences to share on social media.

Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien has chosen a different direction, creating a "never-sleeping" destination, operating continuously 24/7 and all four seasons of the year, maximizing the potential of the area.
With Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien coming into operation in line with the outlined vision, Thanh Hoa's position on the Vietnam tourism map is positioned to not only stop at the leading position in terms of the number of tourists, but also be the answer to the needs of experiential and emotional tourism of the new generation of tourists, establishing a new standard of sea tourism for the market.
