On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the simple house of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thai Thi Tai in Tan Lap ward was bustling and warm with the visits and encouragement of the local Party Committee, authorities, union members, youth and staff of Dak Lak Electricity Company - the unit that takes care of Mother. The tight handshakes and sincere inquiries about every meal and sleep made Mother moved and moved.
Mother Tai was born in 1927 in Binh Lam commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province (old). During the Tet Offensive and Uprising in 1968, Mother Tai moved from Krong Bong to Buon Ma Thuot town with armed units to attack enemy headquarters and outposts, expanding the liberated area. Mother Tai was wounded in the left arm, with a disability of 3/4. Not only carrying the evidence of war, Mother Tai also had a husband and two daughters who both sacrificed for the Fatherland. Currently, Mother Tai lives happily under the care of Mrs. Huynh Thi Lien (born in 1955) - the only remaining daughter. Showing the gratitude of today's generation, since 2008, Dak Lak Electricity Company has taken care of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thai Thi Tai.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thoan, Chairman of the Trade Union of Dak Lak Power Company, said that along with production and business activities, the company always accompanies local Party committees and authorities in carrying out social security work and the "gratitude" movement. From 2020 to now, from the budget allocated by the Central Power Corporation, the welfare fund and contributions from officers and employees, the company has supported the construction of 34 Gratitude houses; cared for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; visited, gave gifts and installed, repaired electrical equipment, replaced lighting for meritorious policy families, poor households in twin villages, and supported charity funds with a total amount of over 5 billion VND.
In the journey of gratitude, not only did units and businesses accompany but each locality in the province also demonstrated responsibility and heart through practical activities.
In Phu Hoa 2 commune, the local Party Committee and government not only focused on promptly resolving policies and regimes for meritorious people and their relatives, but also implemented many activities to repay gratitude, nurture and care for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, and present Gratitude houses. The commune also regularly visited, encouraged, and provided financial support to meritorious families facing difficulties and illness; created favorable conditions for housing and production land, and preferential loans to develop production and stabilize life.

For example, Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi No in Phung Tuong 2 village had a husband and eldest son who both sacrificed for the independence of the Fatherland. In the small, simple house, mixed in the tearful eyes of Mother when recalling the pain and loss of war is the pride that life is changing and developing every day. Mother also feels warmed by the attention of the Party, State, and locality for her family and other families with meritorious services.
Mr. Luong Thanh Cuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Hoa 2 Commune, said that Phu Hoa 2 Commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes, including Hoa Quang Commune, which was awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period. Up to now, the commune has completely resolved the cases of people with meritorious services to the revolution, completing the work of confirming people with meritorious services. On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day this year, the whole commune visited and presented 194 gifts to living and deceased Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; 124 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers; 565 gifts to relatives of martyrs, etc.
