TPO - Named Cho Lon Food Story, the second Cho Lon food festival will take place from December 6 to December 8 at the District 5 Cultural and Sports Center. This will be an opportunity for visitors to enjoy traditional and typical dishes of District 5, especially dishes that are imbued with the culinary culture of the Chinese people.

With the theme of Delicious Noodles and Cakes , the 2nd Cho Lon Food Festival will have the participation of 50 food stalls selling many famous dishes in Chinese style such as noodles, rice noodles, dumplings, white porridge... and a variety of cakes. In addition, the festival also introduces many types of Vietnamese drinks that have become brands in District 5 such as tea, coffee, fruit juice, sweet soup...
According to the representative of the Economic Department of District 5 - the unit hosting the festival, the festival will be a place to convey stories about the culinary culture in this land - the land that was once known as "Eat in District 5 - Lie in District 3" with many unique dishes and drinks associated with the customs and practices of the community of people in Cho Lon area.

Besides enjoying the food, visitors can also participate in exchange activities, chat with many famous restaurant owners in District 5 as well as learn to cook some dishes to discover more about the secrets and experiences of preparing traditional dishes in this land.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also dedicated an exhibition area to help visitors explore the culinary journey with restaurants and eateries in District 5 through interactive screens, a stage area performing many cultural performances imbued with District 5's identity such as Lion - Lion - Dragon dance, Ho Quang singing, etc.

According to the Organizing Committee, through the Cho Lon Food Story festival, the locality wishes to introduce, honor, and build the culinary brand of District 5 Delicious Food. Through that, the festival will be held annually, aiming to make District 5 a destination for culinary tourism with its own identity and characteristics in Ho Chi Minh City and attract people and tourists.
This is the second time District 5 has organized the Cho Lon Food Story festival. The previous festival, held at the end of 2023, attracted more than 25,000 residents and tourists.
