According to the report, up to now, the Project has implemented the construction of foundations for 14/14 positions of the onshore power line towers in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, completed the installation of 12/14 positions and proceeded to pull the wires, the remaining sections have not been deployed to pull the wires due to the problem of 5 households in the safety corridor of the line not agreeing to receive compensation and support according to regulations. At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province proposed that the People's Committee of Vinh Chau town continue to mobilize and propagate so that the 5 affected households agree to receive compensation and support to hand over the site to the project according to regulations; at the same time, proposed that the Department of Agriculture and Environment support the investor to complete the signing of the land lease contract and land use right certificate so that the project can be implemented and completed as planned.
Discussing at the meeting, delegates reported further on the construction situation, propaganda and mobilization work and handling of related procedures.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Nam said that the project to supply electricity from the national grid to Con Dao district is a national key project, which is of great significance in the socio -economic development and national defense and security of Con Dao district. Therefore, he suggested that Vinh Chau town continue to propagate and mobilize the remaining households to agree and promptly hand over the site to the construction unit. In urgent cases, Vinh Chau town needs to coordinate with relevant units to develop construction protection plans according to regulations, so that the project can be completed on schedule.
