At the reception, Mr. Olivier Brocher said that this was the first time he had an official working trip to Quang Nam and through reports, expressed his impression of the strong socio-economic development of the locality over the past 20 years.
Ambassador Olivier Brocher said that the project "Anti-erosion and sustainable protection of Hoi An coast, Quang Nam province" is extremely important due to its large funding source, project nature and open prospects for cooperation during implementation.
This is an opportunity for him to visit the site after the relevant parties have signed the project implementation agreement. It can be said that this is a typical project for the specific projects that France is supporting in Vietnam, because not only France but also the European Union is involved.
Ambassador Olivier Brocher also informed about the heritage promotion and tourism development programs that France will implement in the coming months and suggested that Quang Nam consider cooperation to promote this issue. At the same time, he said that France is willing to share experiences in effective and sustainable management of river basins, specifically with Quang Nam, the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin.
Mr. Olivier Brocher commented that French enterprises may not have sufficient overall information about cooperation and development opportunities in Quang Nam and hoped that in the coming time, the local government would inform about the areas of strength that need to be promoted, and the French Embassy in Vietnam would act as a bridge to promote cooperation.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu expressed his honor to welcome the French Ambassador to visit Quang Nam; at the same time, he shared basic information about the local socio -economic development situation and investment opportunities in Quang Nam.
