Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta Tourism and Trade Week in Can Tho takes place from November 29 to December 2, with 15 main events.

At the press conference of the Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta Tourism and Trade Week in Can Tho on the afternoon of November 19, Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City - said that this is a regional-scale event. Activities will take place in Ninh Kieu District, Cai Rang District and neighboring localities of Can Tho City, including special tourism, sports and music events along with shopping promotion programs and stimulus programs for tourism products and services, to serve the community and domestic and international tourists. At the press conference, Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism - assessed that in the recent past, waterway tourism products in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces have been exploited very effectively. Waterway tourism products are diverse with short-distance routes within the city, medium-distance routes between provinces and long-distance routes to neighboring countries such as Cambodia. Through the survey, it was found that there are products starting from Bach Dang wharf and then going to other provinces and cities, going to Cambodia. "We are planning to develop more at key wharves in the Mekong Delta provinces, not just starting from Bach Dang wharf. Bach Dang wharf can go to the provinces and become a transit point connecting and receiving passengers at other wharves", Ms. Hieu informed.
