Nha Trang University sets initial admission floor score for the first time

Candidates must have an average score of 6 or higher for 5 semesters of high school to be eligible for admission to Nha Trang University, which is the first time the school has set a preliminary admission requirement.

On the afternoon of January 23, Nha Trang University announced its expected enrollment information for 2024. Associate Professor To Van Phuong, Head of the school's Training Department, said that this year the school will maintain 4 stable enrollment methods.

Except for the direct admission method according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , if applying for admission by the remaining three methods, candidates must have an average score of 6 or higher in 5 semesters of high school. Some majors apply an additional minimum score for English, the specific score will be announced by the school later.

"The school wants to evaluate comprehensively and select candidates better, so it sets out preliminary selection conditions," said Associate Professor To Van Phuong.

With the form of considering transcripts, the school considers the scores of four subjects in 6 semesters of high school, of which three are compulsory subjects: Math, Literature and English, the remaining subjects are assigned depending on the major. The school has a total of 11 combinations of four subjects, from the transcript scores.

In addition, Nha Trang University uses the results of the competency assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University and the 2024 high school graduation exam scores for admission.

The total expected target is 3,700, an increase of 100 compared to last year.

In 2023, the two majors of Marketing and English Language at Nha Trang University will have a benchmark score of 23 - the highest in the school. The majors with the lowest benchmark scores are Aquatic Science , Aquatic Management, and Biotechnology - 16 points.
