Pha Mut village has 71 households and is one of the villages that was severely affected by the historic flood on July 22. In addition to houses and property being swept away by the flood, the road from Nhon Mai commune center to Pha Mut village was also severely eroded, cutting off and isolating the village for more than 10 days. Currently, the road from Nhon Mai village to Pha Mut village has been cleared for motorbikes to enter, but cars are still unable to reach the place.

Pha Mut village is about 9km from Nhon Mai commune center. In Nhon Mai commune, out of 73 houses completely swept away by flood, Pha Mut village has 13 houses, 5 of which are severely damaged, 4 of which are in urgent need of evacuation; 7 of which are at high risk of landslides.

Therefore, with the material support from the Provincial Military Command, from August 10-11, the government and functional forces in Nhon Mai commune are urgently building 30 tents for severely affected households in Pha Mut village, helping people no longer have to temporarily live in tents and bamboo and leaf huts hastily built after the flash flood.

On August 11, it is expected that 13 tents will be built for 17 households. The remaining tents will be built in the coming days. The location for the tents was chosen in a flat area under the canopy of the forest in Na Hy village, near the center of Nhon Mai commune, to initially help people stabilize their housing.

Each tent has an area of about 24 square meters for eating, sleeping, and living, with a kitchen area located outside. Each household living in the tent is also supported with a solar light bulb, a 2,000-liter water tank, and some food and essential necessities.

In Nhon Mai commune, in addition to building tents for affected households in Pha Mut village, in other villages, the "4 on-site" forces have been helping people build shelters and temporary houses to live in, providing clean water, food and implementing other support activities.
