Amidst the wave of popular "Brother" shows today, the fact that 4 singers are organizing a show is attracting attention.

Many opinions compare the generations of singers, some people think that the above voices are "out of date" and are just clinging to their glory.

Singer Lam Vu frankly said that being called outdated is normal. However, instead of scrutinizing and judging, he hopes people will respect singers of each era.

“Many malicious and uncultured words hurt artists. But if they are aware, they should call it “ Later waves push previous waves” or “Old bamboo shoots grow” which would be more appropriate. We are confident that if we do a music show, the audience will still come in large numbers,” he said.

Lam Hung believes that singing is a one-time job, unlike many other jobs that can be done for a lifetime. His generation idolized singers Ngoc Son and Lam Truong, and the next generation will do the same. Therefore, he happily accepts everything and does not keep a tense mind.

“One star cannot make the sky, no matter how talented you are, you cannot make a program successful alone,” he said.

Quach Tuan Du believes that if he and his colleagues use the word "out of date", they will be less hurt.

Chau Gia Kiet believes that a singer who lives and works decently and is loved by everyone for a long time is what creates true value.

During the meeting, the singers revealed their memories and singing salaries when they first started their careers.

Chau Gia Kiet started singing in 1998 at weddings. Every night, he sang 5 shows and received a weekly salary of about 127 thousand VND.

Lam Hung sang his first show in Nha Be district, and was paid 60,000 VND in 1999. He felt lucky because he was sponsored by his benefactor - the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh, during his early career.

Quach Tuan Du earned 20,000 VND/show from singing at restaurants. He sang 4 shows each night and received 80,000 VND in 1997. Meanwhile, singer Lam Vu earned several tens of thousands of VND from his first show thanks to the show organizer's connections.

The show Youth Memories took place on the evening of July 5 in Ho Chi Minh City. During the music night, the singers sang familiar songs that were closely associated with each person's singing career. In addition, they had a mashup of hits such as: Remembering you, Those lies, Faded love ... The performances were mixed and arranged in a modern style, suitable for today's music tastes .
