By the end of May 2025, the province had 17 industrial parks (IPs) established and granted Investment Registration Certificates, of which 9 IPs had been put into effective operation, with occupancy rates in IPs such as Khai Quang, Binh Xuyen, Thang Long Vinh Phuc... reaching over 90%. The IPs are well-planned, have synchronous modern technical infrastructure and have convenient traffic connections to national highways, Hanoi - Lao Cai expressway, and Noi Bai airport.
Since its re-establishment, the province has determined the orientation of industrial development associated with environmental protection, and in recent years associated with green energy conversion. The operation of a centralized wastewater treatment system, encouraging businesses to invest in clean technology and waste recycling are clear evidence of the locality's sustainable development mindset. Currently, the province is an attractive destination for many leading technology corporations from Japan, Korea, the US and Europe.
Investment projects of Honda, Toyota, Piaggio, Sumitomo... not only contribute positively to economic growth but also spread the modern, highly automated industrial model. As of May 15, the whole province had 1,329 investment projects, including 487 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total capital of more than 8.6 billion USD and 842 domestic investment (DDI) projects with a total capital of nearly 148 trillion VND.
The province prioritizes attracting low-emission, high-tech industries such as electronic component manufacturing, supporting industries, precision mechanics, advanced manufacturing, etc. Investors coming to Vinh Phuc are not only given maximum support in administrative procedures but are also encouraged to apply ESG standards (environment, society and corporate governance), ensuring long-term development.
By 2030, Vinh Phuc aims to form an ecological industrial corridor connecting the localities of Vinh Yen - Binh Xuyen - Tam Duong, with new generation industrial parks integrating shared infrastructure, renewable energy and waste circulation models.
Accordingly, the province has proactively coordinated with international organizations to develop and apply ecological industrial park standards according to the UNIDO model and recommendations of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, contributing to making Vinh Phuc a pioneer in "greening" the industrial sector, fulfilling Vietnam's commitment to reduce net emissions.
One of the bright spots is Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park, with a scale of more than 300 hectares, synchronously invested in electricity, water, telecommunications, wastewater treatment, fire prevention and fighting systems... to meet the needs of clean industries, high technology, precision mechanics, electronics, automobiles and supporting industries. The province and Binh Xuyen district are committed to accompanying businesses, creating a stable and transparent investment environment.
Enterprises investing in Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park enjoy many incentives in terms of corporate income tax, import tax, land rent, etc., along with active support from local authorities in administrative procedures. Currently, the Industrial Park has attracted many large domestic and foreign corporations such as Sumitomo (Japan), Piaggio (Italy), Partron (Korea), Polaris (USA), Nippon Paint (Japan), Sekonix Vina (Korea), Assa Abloy (Sweden), etc., clearly demonstrating the long-term development potential and strong attraction of Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park.
At Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park, Sumitomo Corporation - Japan has dedicated 20% of the total area to trees, water surface and internal traffic system, with the expectation of creating a "green lung" in the middle of modern production space. Lawns, ornamental plants and lakes help reduce the feeling of heaviness, increase sustainability and improve the working environment in the Industrial Park.
With a smart planning strategy, prioritizing project quality and a strong commitment to environmental protection, Vinh Phuc is gradually becoming a model of green, modern industrial development in the North - this is not only a driving force for local economic development, but also a direction in line with the global trend of sustainable development.
In the coming time, the province will continue to promote the transformation of models from traditional industrial parks to ecological industrial parks, develop high-tech industrial parks, attract projects with green and environmentally friendly production technology; increase investment attraction in associated industries, form industrial clusters and industrial symbiotic value chains. This model allows businesses to share and reuse by-products and waste in production effectively, thereby saving input costs and minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
