Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have just prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Vu Ngoc Liem, 49 years old, principal of Ngoc Lac High School; prosecuted and banned Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet, 46 years old, teacher of this school, from leaving her place of residence for the crime of "forgery in work".
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, through the work of grasping the situation, the Economic Police Department of this Provincial Police discovered that at the examination council of Ngoc Lac High School (formerly Ngoc Lac mountainous district), the 10th grade entrance exam, school year 2024 - 2025, there was an exam of a candidate with an unusually high score.
Specifically, the total score of this candidate when multiplied by the coefficient was only 24.4 points, but the result publicly posted on the candidate's name and score board was 39.4 points, unusually high, so the police started an investigation.
Based on collected documents and evidence, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency determined that Mr. Vu Ngoc Liem, in his position as chairman of the examination board of Ngoc Lac High School, directed Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet to arbitrarily raise the scores and publicize the list of a candidate in the old town of Bim Son.
On August 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Province Police prosecuted the two suspects for the crime of "forgery in work", regulated in Article 359 of the 2015 Penal Code.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case to clarify the role, responsibility, nature and level of violation of each individual.
