FPT Education spreads corporate culture through Vietnam's mountain climbing record

(Dan Tri) - 352 people from FPT Education have conquered 25 mountain peaks at home and abroad, including the world's "rooftop" Everest Base Camp or Africa's highest mountain Kilimanjaro, which were recognized as setting a Vietnamese record on January 18.

In recent years, many businesses have built a unique culture through sports activities to connect staff. After jogging, mountain climbing has become an activity chosen by many businesses for their common bonding occasions.

Since 2019, FPTEducation has organized a concentrated mountain climbing program within a certain period of time, with the participation of all officers, lecturers and employees. Most recently, in November 2024, about 6,000 officers, lecturers and employees nationwide of the block participated in this activity.

Mountain climbing has become a unique and distinctive cultural activity at FPT Education. Through this activity, officers, lecturers and employees have the opportunity to improve their health, participate in movements with colleagues, and strengthen relationships within the enterprise in a healthy way. In addition, with the characteristics of mountain climbing - an activity that requires both physical and mental strength, participants can train themselves to be resilient and overcome their own limits.

From March to the end of December 2024, 352 officers, lecturers and staff of FPT Education took part in the program "Up to the mountains - Conquering 25 peaks" at home and abroad. In which, challenging journeys, even for professional mountaineers, such as the "roof" of the world Everest Base Camp or the highest peak in Africa Kilimanjaro, the famous volcano and also the second highest peak in Indonesia - Rinjani were participated in and completed by officers, lecturers and staff of FPT Education.

In addition to world-famous peaks, the FPT Education Group's "Up to the Mountains" program also conquers domestic peaks, stretching from North to South such as Fansipan, Ta Xua, Ngu Chi Son, Ta Nang Phan Dung...

All officers, lecturers and staff participate in mountain climbing on a voluntary basis, are instructed in safety principles and are accompanied and supported by local guides and mountain climbing experts during their participation in this activity.

This program has been recognized as a Vietnamese record based on the criteria "The program to conquer 25 mountains and peaks of Vietnam and the world in 1 year with the largest number of participating cadres, lecturers and staff".

On January 18, Mr. Thang Van Phuc - Former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association awarded the record certificate to Dr. Le Truong Tung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT University, FPT Corporation and Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh - Principal of FPT University, FPT Corporation.

"The spirit of perseverance, teamwork, and effort to overcome limits is not only demonstrated by FPT Education officers, lecturers, and employees in their journeys to conquer 25 mountain peaks at home and abroad, but is also applied to work and in their relationships with colleagues. It is expected that this activity of FPT Education will create a unique corporate culture, spreading a healthy spirit in the working environment, especially the educational environment to the community," said a representative of FPT Education at the event to receive the record certificate.

Before the record for the mountain climbing program, FPT Education had set many meaningful records, aiming to spread national cultural values ​​such as setting a record for the MV Thien Am - "MV with traditional musical instruments with the largest number of performers" (2023); "The largest Vovinam martial arts performance in Vietnam" with more than 7,000 students participating" (2018).

Currently, FPT Education has about 6,000 staff, lecturers, employees and more than 150,000 equivalent students in general education, university, and vocational education, present in 20 provinces and cities nationwide.
