Dan Hoa and Truong Son communes are two localities benefiting from the Project “Supporting agricultural livelihoods adapting to climate change to enhance the role of women in disadvantaged communes”. This is a project funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) with a total budget of more than 19 billion VND, implemented from March to December 2025. The key objectives include: Supporting livelihood activities adapting to climate change for 1,000 small-scale farming households, with priority given to ethnic minority women; raising awareness for nearly 18,000 community members on issues related to climate change, gender equality and sustainable agriculture.

At the program, delegates were introduced to an overview of the objectives, contents, main activities and expected results of the Project. At the same time, they listened to the opinions of local authorities, people and village communities about their aspirations and proposed appropriate livelihood models to effectively promote local potential, in conjunction with climate change.

These are the initial activities of the program to support livelihoods and promote the role of women in agricultural development adapting to climate change in Truong Son and Dan Hoa communes in the period of 2025-2027. Through this, it aims to concretize the project's chain of activities in the area, focusing on building sustainable livelihood models, improving capacity to adapt to climate change, and especially promoting the participation and role of ethnic minority women in local socio -economic development.
