Ms. Pham Thi Yeu is an elderly woman, currently living with her youngest son in a cramped 48m² house in Residential Group No. 5, Nam Hai Ward. The family has a total of 12 members. Ms. Yeu is currently directly taking care of her two grandchildren, including Luong Van Minh (born in 2005), the son of her eldest son who passed away. His mother left when the children were young and their whereabouts are unknown. Minh volunteered to join the army and is currently serving in the army after joining the army in early 2025.
In order to help Mrs. Yeu have stable living conditions, ensure safety during the rainy and stormy season and create conditions for her to study and train in the military, the family wishes to be supported to build a new house on the family's legal residential land, without any disputes.
The new house is expected to start construction in July 2025, with a total area of about 40m², a level 4 house structure, corrugated iron roof, and 10cm thick brick walls. The total estimated construction cost is about 365.9 million VND. Of which, the Hai Phong City Red Cross Society has reviewed and supported the family with 50 million VND.
The family pledged to use the money for the right purpose to implement the construction of the project. The house is expected to be completed and put into use in November 2025.
This is not only practical material support, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support, contributing to helping households with housing difficulties gradually stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.
