Reprimand the deputy secretary of the commune for drinking and causing a traffic accident

On the morning of May 27, the Inspection Committee of Cho Gao District Party Committee, Tien Giang Province, announced that it had issued a decision to discipline Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of My Tinh An Commune, Cho Gao District, for violating alcohol concentration.

Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on March 25, Chau Thi Ngoc M (22 years old, residing in My An B hamlet, My Tinh An commune, Cho Gao district) was driving a motorbike with license plate 63B4-804.37 on an inter-hamlet road.

Authorities made a record of the scene of the traffic accident in which Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong caused a traffic accident.

When reaching the section of My Tho hamlet, My Tinh An commune, he was hit by a motorbike going in the opposite direction driven by Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong.

The accident caused M to fall onto the road, injuring his arms and legs. Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong fell to the side of the road, about 50m from the scene.

When people discovered it, they ran to see Mr. Duong showing signs of being drunk and intending to leave the scene, so they kept him waiting for the police to arrive and handle the situation.

Cho Gao District Police were present at the scene to make a record of the incident. Alcohol test showed that Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong had an alcohol concentration of 301mg/100ml of blood, 7.5 times higher than the prescribed limit.
